History Section Added to Requisition Inquiry Page
Financial Management > Inquiries > Requisitions > Select a requisition > History
With the 2019.1.6 patch, the Requisition Inquiry page has been enhanced with the addition of the History section, providing users with a snapshot of what a requisition’s items looked like prior to their being promoted (to appeal a bid or a contract).
Why were these enhancements necessary? Because of the way requisition items are set up, with the item or items tied to the requisition. As the requisition process moves along, the items may be used on appeal and on an invoice, and if the purchase order is changed the requisition itself is changed. Once this happens, users who haven’t applied the 2019.1.6 patch are left with no history of what the original requisition looked like.
With the 2019.1.6 patch, however, the History section displays and retains the original requisition record, which is created when the requisition is promoted through department-approved requisitions. Columns in the Requisition History grid reflect the original G/L Date, Entered Date, Entered User, Changed Date (i.e., the post date), Changed User, Total Cost, and Encumbered amount.
Below the Requisition History grid is the Requisition Item History grid, which lists the associated items as they appeared when they were originally promoted, which may or may not be how they look now.
To clarify, the previously existing Detail section shows how requisitions look now, while the new History section will always show you what a requisition looked like when it was first promoted.
Also, if you click on an item in the Requisition Item History grid (specifically, if you click a hyperlink in the Description column), the Item pop-window (shown below) will display to provide additional information about the item, such as its G/L distributions and entries.
Note: As stated above, the requisition history feature is available with Tyler Deploy patch 2019.1.6. Since history records are created when requisitions are promoted, history will be available only for those requisitions that are promoted after your organization has applied the 2019.1.6 patch to your software. Requisitions that were promoted prior to your organization’s applying the 2019.1.6 software update will not contain historical information.
